Kuimba: Music
Coyote (from the CD "Mount Diablo")
(Kuimba)
Poem, Kris Bowerman
This poem came to me while living in the Anza-Borrego Desert in Southern California. There were many coyotes there, of course! And their howling was amazing! One time a lone coyote used the echo of the canyons as a musical instrument. It was early in the morning and very, very still out. The coyote would howl and then listen to the echo and respond with another howl with such timing that I was stunned. Thanks coyote!

The Moon… Branches… Dust… Coyote…
Clouds flying through coyote’s eyes…
